This is so they can acquire presentation content, configure planned interactions and prepare for live delivery.

The Virtual Producer manages the technical delivery of the live session, assisting the facilitator with interaction and moderation. They provide detailed instructions to participants on using available tools and can troubleshoot technical issues that may arise.

Virtual Producer: Level I

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and testing of virtual meeting space for live events
  • Configuration and deployment of interactive activities in the identified virtual delivery platform
  • Perform technology checks with presenters to ensure preparedness
  • Confirm session timing and transitions
  • Manage the technical delivery of live events: Provide technical guidance and instruction, track timing and deploy interactive activities, and provide technical support as needed
  • Provide playback and reporting details to client post-session

Experience:

  • Up to 3 years of experience executing and managing live virtual events for corporate clients and audiences
  • Proficiency in navigating virtual delivery platforms to manage content and interactive activities
  • Ability to provide best practice guidance to users
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common issues and assist presenters and participants in working through technical challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to manage stress and perform under pressure

Virtual Producer: Level 2

The Virtual Producer II is responsible for the overall success of virtual events from a technical standpoint. They must have a thorough knowledge of the identified virtual delivery platform – its features, functionalities, and limitations.

​The Virtual Producer II works with stakeholders, facilitators, and course designers before the event, to acquire presentation content, configure planned interactive activities and prepare for live delivery.

The Virtual Producer manages the technical delivery of the live session, assisting the facilitator with interactive activities and moderation, provides detailed instructions to participants on using available interactivity tools, and can troubleshoot technical issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and testing of virtual meeting space for live events
  • Configuration and deployment of interactive activities in the identified virtual delivery platform
  • Review content/make recommendations for delivery based on knowledge of platform features and capabilities
  • Perform technology checks with presenters several days in advance of the live event to ensure preparedness
  • Run content rehearsal to practice transitions, and interactive activities and confirm timing
  • Manage pre-event Check-in periods for presenters and participants to ensure successful participation
  • Manage the technical delivery of live events: Provide technical guidance and instruction, track timing and deploy interactive activities, act as moderator and provide technical support as needed
  • Provide playback and reporting details to client post-session

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience executing and managing live virtual events for corporate clients and audiences
  • Hands-on experience as a virtual event host
  • Proficiency in navigating multiple virtual delivery platforms to manage content and interactive activities
  • Ability to provide best practice guidance to users
  • Ability to consult with clients and make recommendations on how best to achieve presentation objectives, using available features and functionalities
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common issues and assist presenters and participants in working through technical challenges
  • Effective project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take control of a session and direct presenters and participants
  • Knowledge of standard office applications such as PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to manage stress and perform under pressure
